Magic Is Real
Sereitta had confidence that eluded us.
She could fly, see through walls, and read people’s thoughts.
She had super powers that included turning invisible.
Sereitta talked a hungry leopard into sparing her life more than once.
What is her secret? We wondered.
Watching in mystified awe.
She was an anomaly, untouchable, unexplainable.
Why don’t you ask her? I asked myself.
“Powers are easy,” Sereitta told me. “All you have to do is believe.
Magic comes instantly to those who believe in it.”
I tried super hard to believe in magic, but doubt ruined it for me.
I never walked through walls or became invisible.
“Keep trying,” she encouraged me. “Eventually you will get it
Magic begets magic.”
I wished that I could believe her.
