Magic Carpet
One of my favorite or lasting childhood
memories
Of my sister and i when we where children
Was when the two of us after school
in winter
We used to go into our lounge and
lay on the carpet in front of the glass door and fall asleep
It was the only warm place in the house
the sun used to magnify the heat off the glass and the softness of the carpet underneath used to induce sleep
A magic carpet aided by the warming sun made everything i could ever dream of a fantasy
And kept the bogeyman at bay
