Mad As a Hornet - Gosh Darn It

Mad As A Hornet - Gosh Darn It! So you're angry because I burned the toast? Don't you stand there and keep screaming at me. That's what really matters to you most? I'm gonna explode on the count of three. If you'd help get the kids ready for school I'd have more time to fix a decent meal. Instead, you rant and rave just like a fool. I should be the one who's angry, you heel! You surely are quick to point out my flaws. Well, "Mr. Perfect," now it's my turn to shout. I'm warning you, I've just sharpened my claws. Stop bullying me or I'll throw you out! I've had enough! Damnation and gosh darn it!! You've gone and made me mad as a hornet!!! Mad As A Hornet Contest

This was awesome, and I enjoyed the intense buildup. Perfect ending too! it's funny how the little things can set us off, and then all of the sudden, it grows into something bigger. Very entertaining sonnet! Always, Laura

You're so right...anger feeds anger. This one was pure fiction...but it's exactly the way I would've told him off. lol Thank you for so many visits. Hugs ~ Lin ~

Love your poem about anger, Lin. This should do well in the contest. But really, is there anything worse than burnt toast, besides maybe spilt milk?

Hi David, I'm only now seeing your comment. Burnt toast and spilt milk would make for a horrible start to a morning. Thanks for the visit.

Thank you, sir. I'm glad you noticed the building resentment. The more she told him off the angrier she got. It was fun.
