I should not have looked in love's wondrous eyes Nor search just reason to comply and stay To dance with romance beneath stars to sigh In scent so fragrant this night I obey That these eyes so tender could hold me chained With delicate kisses from their desire To become a prisoner my will drained To grant love freedom the caress of fire And hear the breathless breath of love unite To find a silent pause which I embrace Unaware of stars falling through the night I am lost in eyes that reflect love's grace That I should have looked in love's wondrous eyes To strip my mask my unwilling disguise 5/2/17 contest I should not have looked
