Lover Beneath the Tree

He saw her beauty lain beneath the blossom tree He followed slowly with the breeze As if to find the words She looked upon his weathered face Fingers laced around his cheek He kissed those lips as if to say goodbye Then spoke what stopped her movement "My love is on thee outs When tomorrow comes I'll no longer love you I cannot endure your pain Your heart wrenching pain We have grown indifferent And my heart belongs to someone else Forgive me, my love, forgive me." His hand dropped down Letting her go And with that he walked away Her once love disappearing into the horizon Her beauty lain back against the tree Blossom petals fell upon her eyes like raindrops Caressing tears... To love. She thought. Is to love all of someone To not give up To not give up Her eyes now drenched in tears Lain in despair with the cease of the sun...
