Love Tossed and Found

My true love no longer loves me anymore, and the love in my heart, what am I to do with it? I can't toss it away like spurned pages of an unread manuscript This abiding love in my heart, what am I to do with it? Do I let it just fade away, become dust fallen on the floor, will I have enough courage to close shut that open door? It feels like I'm fading away, blown dust falling on the floor ... haunting memories seem to keep me trapped in the past If another love fire be rekindled, how long will the flame last? Bittersweet memories has me teary-eyed tied to the past But melancholy love songs are urging me to take another chance, so I'm floating through life seeking a flowering romance Those sad love songs don't want me to miss my chance, but I have to want to open up and trust my heart again I have to let another person become more than a friend My true love no longer loves me anymore, I believe I have the courage to open that closed door This new love in my heart, what am I to do with it? I will treasure reading every page of this found manuscript

Very heartfelt introspective poem Freddie! Remember there's always someone out there for you my friend! :) (Or should I say plenty of fish in the sea!)

Ty Cheryl. This poem is a blend of how I felt 19 yrs ago when my wife divorced me, and how I feel presently towards her and the future. Ty for the kind, encouraging words. Much love to you, my dear.

Hi Freddie, You have penned such a heartfelt write. That many can relate to. It's good to hear that you don't want to be confined to your past and opening your heart to love again. Well done my friend. A without a doubt seven:-) Alexis
