Scores of sad lullabies litter my heart Tossed there to wither as lovers depart Unheard, an echo of passion that haunts Voice of a soul that no other soul wants Wasting such love ... as mortality taunts.

I went back in there and this one was not on the list..I don't have any idea what could have happened to the poem..Your poem would have been on the list if it was in there but it is not..I appreciate you writing it and it does deserve to be noticed..Thanks for letting me know..Sara

Thank you so much, Sara, I so appreciate your taking the time - I'm quite sure that I just plain forgot to enter it - I've done that a few times, you'd think I'd learn, lol. Blessings to you for being so sweet! :-) <3

I am glad you didn't choose X Y Z as last three letters Greg ;) But beautiful, and dark. Good luck in the contest my friend :)

Thanks, my friend - I actually wrote another with V W X Y Z, but I didn't care for it ... this one kind of evolved from that one. :-)

Nicely written ... a depth with just few lines ... great ...

Thank you, Probir, that is the challenge with these short forms - fitting a whole story or statement into such few words. I have written a lot of Haiku, and it is such a great exercize for maximizing the most meaning with the least amount of words. Blessings, my friend! :-)
