LOVE SEPARATED By..Denise Andrea Robinson From the moment that I met you, my heart went in reverse When we locked our eyes together, our souls needed no words You came from the darkness to rescue me that night How was I supposed to know that you were sent to steal my heart? We spoke for a moment; you took away my pain, How was I supposed to know that holding back was just in vain? That smooth and velvet skin, those brown Arabic eyes How was I supposed to know that love was written in the sky? Many years of love and passion, interrupted cries and pain Then a lasting bond that binds us, from both of us were made Then a cruel separation left so much anticipation I felt emptiness inside of me, no words to heal such pain I’ve always loved you, knowing that you feel the same way too I wake up nights just thinking that this separation can’t be true Just be patient for awhile, don’t let our fire leave your heart Just remember all those times spent locked together in each others arms
