Love Needs No Words

You've been my caregiver so many times. Surgery after surgery you were there. Never a complaint came from your lips- Bathed me, fed me with loving care. All of this was behind us, we thought, Until this year- Oh, love, friend, soulmate of mine, This year another surgery I fear. A caregiver I'll need once again my love. You laid your hand upon my shoulder, As our heads touch, my tears did flow. Two hearts became one, a sad note it did beat. Love needs no words.

amazingly touching. I am seeing it again. I have clicked on five old poems of yours and can't find a one that I have not commented to, but I will start reading your oldies again. Always good to remind myself of who the poet is by reading again their fine works!

I don't write as much since my last surgery. It has been a slow recovery. Thank you for stopping by and reading my poems. It means a lot - Connie

Just had my 4th cervical surgery a week ago. Besides this ungodly neck brace I must wear 24/7 for two months and days spent sitting and walking, but the good is not much pain and PS keeping my spirits up reading wonderful poems from poetryland. I have a set-up for my Ipad, that keeps my head and neck completely straight. It works great, thanks to my wonderful hubby. I keep writing and sending warm smiles out to all my friends. Warm Smiles Always, Connie

Thank you Debbie. I don't think caregivers get recognized for all what they do, and the sick are sometimes too sick or in too much pain to relay a thank you message to their caregiver. Happy Holiday to you and yours, Connie

Thank you for your comment. We met in 12th grade on a blind date in 1965. He actually wanted to date my twin. Back then she was the wild one, I was the bookworm. We've been together ever since. He is one great guy. If you would read, 'Whiteness' and 'On This October Day'. Thanks again Richard. Smiles to you, Prouder
