We do not always wake up With smiles on our face, And some mornings are harder, Love feels out of place. Touching her's really simple, But feelings aren't there, Your nose suddenly itches When nuzzling her hair. On days lacking emotion, IMAGINE YOU FEEL, You might even discover The act becomes real. Can I put this together? Will she even care? First steps are the most daunting When climbing a stair. She could be feeling off too, You're both in a lurch, But the gift of your time will Score higher than Church. Sometimes vision comes slowly Of what we should do, But to paint using numbers Can carry you through. You don't need sweat the broad strokes, Do what you're able, And love's finest feast will be Spread on your table. Aware it's your life partner Lying in your arms, Just say goodnight to dis-ease, Remember her charms. If you believe anything You best believe this Even mechanical love Can restore your bliss!
