Lost To War
Fight For queen and country, I'm told to in your pointless wars.
My family and principles I will leave at my door .
Die for my regiment, defend the colours of my corps.
The bugle blows, drums roll, another soldier lost to war.
I was told if I fight my name would go into folklore.
Yet no politicians sons or daughters would leave these shores.
I'm told my deeds and memory would live for evermore .
If I die it's with the angels I'm promised I will soar .
But reality is, he's just another soldier dead .
Make peace not war, don't listen to Politician's anymore.
The bugle blows, drums roll, another soldier lost to war.
1st go have i done it right lol
