Lost Memories
My past resources have gone to waste.
A fledging youth has departed in haste.
Substances taken as a teen have wiped the slate clean.
Memories of yesterday have been displaced.
Discarded is all hope of return.
Passions remain deep where they burn.
I struggle to recall what led to my downfall.
I persevere hopelessly. Where am I to turn?
I have tolerated nonsensical and inane.
They have practically rendered me insane.
Each lost thought has left me distraught.
In which alternatives can I regain?
