Lost In the Glow
The fractured light of day rises so still
I'm a quiet partner lost in the glow
I'll not weigh the light but the role I'll fill
find a reason to grasp life's ebb and flow
I'll follow each day as a linear string
and understand they have a final end
count each rainbow and the colors they bring
Marvel at the symmetry as they bend
an intruder to timeless treasure
who will count the time by the days I rise
and live till' my last breath's final measure
to fall as Autumn leaves is no surprise
then buried deep beneath the Earthen soil
where the light won't enter nor darkness toil
