Long Drop
The pilot died up in the sky
And no-one else knew how to fly
A man tried to scoot
He grabbed the last ’chute
And said, “So long suckers, goodbye.”
His parachute failed to unfurl
His fall was a spiralling twirl
Through gravity’s forces
He crashed among horses
One kick turned him into a girl
His fall had been seen by a stranger
Who rushed in and dragged him from danger
He’d crashed on a trough
He started to cough
And bore the imprint of a manger
It seems when he crashed to the floor
His ears and his mouth filled with straw
And when he went splat
He ended up flat
So now he looks like a barn door
I asked the nurse what’s his position
She grinned and said without contrition
He came down among
A load of horse dung
He’s now in a stable condition
