Lonely Pathways

Branches covered with ice all around The clicking of sleet, the only sound Cold freezing emotions inside A winter leaves bare places to hide Lonely pathways covered with snow There is no compass where to go Now, time for ice to be broken Open to things left unspoken Bring on the warmth for all to melt To let it be known what is felt In the darkest hour of gray Reach out to others in dismay Branches covered with ice all around Will not last when love can be found Heidi Sands 1/23/18
