Lock Parade On Bridge
Memories hidden in a unique way
Travelers awed by nostalagia
Bridge walkers stopping
Unhurried, unconcerned about time
Making their way slowly
Methodical, meandering, milling teens
Laughing at the ideas they derive from the locks
Smiling because they are together and is enough
Locking out no one,
Accepting all comers,
Sharing their lives with people of every creed,
Color, religion, and every walk of life
The locks on the bridge
Will be remembered and dreamed of
Years to come, providing happiness
and lovely smiles on those who remember and were touched.
