Living a Life Conceived By Another
I was living a life conceived by another.
No questions to answer, nothing to discover.
The future chosen for me left nothing to fear.
The turns to be taken were all marked clear.
As for my mind, it’s one that still wanders.
Like the flashing light in the sky when it thunders.
I question reality, what I’ve been taught.
I can’t determine if I’m free or bought.
This life I’ve been given is part of a plan,
That allows me to think and do as I can.
Listening to my spirit could set me free,
And allow me to live as authentic me.
I’ll clear my mind and open my heart,
It will be a good way for me to start.
I’ll sit here quietly and very still,
I’ll think of the role my life will fulfill.
I don’t see the role that I’m meant to play,
I just need to be open as I go my way.
For my life is a light, a physical display,
Of the truth I’ll be given from day to day.
No one else knows the path I should take,
Taking another’s path would be a mistake.
Each one should follow the voice deep within,
It knows our beginning and also our end.
