“I see a white dove fly across the sky everyday as it wears a dazzling rainbow halo; one day as the morn unfurls I will be that white dove .” Quote by Poet
Sister, you are so dearly missed.
What brought us together was your birth, my little sister.
I was there when you took your first breath and held you
in my arms. You grew up being independent, outspoken,
strong, and mischievous. I watched you protect those that
needed protecting. I watched you smile as you enjoyed the
giddy feeling when you met your first beau, the love of your
life; those butterflies’ fondness in the pit of your tummy
that made you pretend to be a petite, helpless little girl. And,
as you grew up and married, had your own children; your
love nurtured and kept them close to your bosom.
My life was a little lost when your husband moved you away
across the country after the children left the nest. You were
not my baby-sister anymore, but my friend. Ah, but we
maintained a connection, stayed in touch and got caught up,
being very chatty for hours on the phone, our conversations
about anything and everything. We missed each other.
You lost your husband, and you got very ill. You decide to leave
us all and be with the Lord. I was not able to be there by your
bedside and hold your hand and say my goodbye.
I miss hearing your voice and our long conversations.
