Notes About The Poem

10/28/2024 for Jill Nursery Rhyme Poetry Contest sponsored by Charles Messina

Little Jill Page

Little Jill Page
Longed for the stage,
Heaving a dramatic sigh;
She clutched at her heart,
And blasted a fart,
And said, "a divine presence am I!"

LOL dave. This is priceless. Jill does just fine without Jack. Still giggling, elle :)

Thanks! That's how I envision Jill - not to be outdone by Jack.

Hello David, Alright, that was cute and hilarious at the same time. It is great to see something light and humourous. Autumn Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Thanks Daniel! I noticed you didn't use the word "classy". It's just unfortunate that "fart" rhymes with "heart" - lol.
