Listen In Quiet
Question, not the sun but the role we fill
as we become lost in its serenade
when the daylight will rise slowly and still
gives reason for us to be unafraid
we'll follow days as a linear string
and remember it has a final end
we'll count rainbows and colors they bring
marvel at the symmetry as they bend
the night will count time by the suns that rise
and lay on the Earth to hide life between
listen in quiet as stars harmonize
and not be an intruder to this scene
to capture its rhythm the pulse we'll feel
as day and night become a timeless wheel
