Lightening Speed
I'm in the seventh month of the new year",
days passed by in a flash, like lightning speed,
" Youth is fading, I'll be gone "soon" I fear,
living life in full is my greatest need.
Father time won't always be on my side,
each second and minute must somehow count.
I must learn to dream big,and walk in pride,
taking life by the horns, ready to mount
So today I choose to live in the now,
and I'm saying farewell to things of old.
That my dearest friend, is my solemn vow.
I have to leave the what if's in the cold.
Life in itself is such a precious gift,
This way of thinking caused my soul
to shift.
