Lightening Speed

I'm in the seventh month of the new year", days passed by in a flash, like lightning speed, " Youth is fading, I'll be gone "soon" I fear, living life in full is my greatest need. Father time won't always be on my side, each second and minute must somehow count. I must learn to dream big,and walk in pride, taking life by the horns, ready to mount So today I choose to live in the now, and I'm saying farewell to things of old. That my dearest friend, is my solemn vow. I have to leave the what if's in the cold. Life in itself is such a precious gift, This way of thinking caused my soul to shift. 7-3-19 Alexis Y.

What a great poem, I think like you and we must make the most of anything that is left for us, provided God grants us the health to enjoy it. Go for it Alexis, I'm with you my friend. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

Sometimes we spend far to much time looking back. You're right live for today, not yesterday or tomorrow. Tom
