Lifting Fog
The morning sun shined through the fog
Reflecting from the wet leaves, laying on the path
Everything was bright in the cool, damp air
With warmth ready to dry soaked thoughts
A morning to start over, a new day to embrace
With every hour of opportunity waiting
I stopped, turned around, took a breath
And listened to everything around me
Before I took my next step into the lifting fog
That was clearing my way, for time so precious
