Life's Mysteries
L ove is the most pervasive of life’s mysteries
I nnate when the newborn first cries out
F or mother, beginning their shared histories,
E ventually knowing with unceasing doubt
S he is ever present whether near or far away.
M other is first love, and loves unconditionally
Y onder comes a different love one day -- a
S oulmate, fair and sweet and soon will be
T he most love this mortal life experiences
E verything fades in comparison to her beauty
R eleases new understanding of love’s consequences
I can know only love truly as I know love in Thee.
E very person must experience love to fully live
S ometimes the love we have is all we have to give.
