L-ife was much better long years ago
I-nviting life to days in the sun
F-un was foremost, watching ourselves grow
E-xpecting days and time we'd out-run
W-hen years piled on, we began to doubt
I-t was only yesterday we soared
T-ime is deceptive, chasing aboutl
H-ere we are: grateful we're still aboard
W-hen life adds wrinkles into our lives
R-ight away, flab is added as well
I-nside each smile a small furrow thrives
N-ot a pretty one, I'm sad to tell
K-issing might only bring about hives
L-ate nights will now make your eyelids swell
E-xcessive age brings wisdom to lives
S-hamefully, we need to rest a spell
