Life, a Competition

I want to go first, No, I was next in line I’ve been waiting longer, No, I’ve been here since nine Don’t cut in ahead of me, Now, my road rage beckons After all, you’ll delay me By at least five seconds I’ve had more experience, I should have been hired I’m more suited to hi tech, It’s how my brain is wired Is there not a place For all of us to be Why such value on the “win” Better, by decree? Why is life a competition?

Such is life Mike, sadly there are only a few who are the opposite of this.. some like to live life in the fast lane, whilst others like to take it easy.. I'm far too lazy to get into the fast lane lol.. I like how you did your poem, it was like being stuck in a traffic jam, if that makes sense.. maybe take an alternative route..

Made me smile Mike and people are SO impatient - its wonderful when it backfires on them and they push in the queue and then discover the person they passed was the millionth customer and gets their shopping for free lol - i should do a poem about that lol:-) hugs Jan xx
