Life - 'By Kimmy'
Life - 'by Kimmy'
Good morning Love, my gift since dawn,
When I awoke to find you gone
From treasured bed where laid my head
All through the night until first light.
Awake I follow you to couch in living room,
Voice faint perfume, "I couldn't sleep, my rest not deep!
Come stay with me?" I lift your feet across my lap
Recover you, "Please let me nap a little while!"
I smile, hold foot, "Yes," hear sleep's breath an hour or so.
What rest! (Imagine glow of love I feel?)
May life be so until I die, God! What a high!
To know you care, that you are there.
Life's pictures of 'hair' client's joy, (1) 'by Kimmy!' that
I share her with, our poetry, the stuff of myth!

Poet's Notes:
(1) Kimmy owns a hair salon she can walk to from our house, and it is a job she loves. It's not surprising that most patrons love her back. It's a five-star place called 'Kimmy's Bliss!'
