My father's dad died when he was but an early adult. He never had the opportunity to hear the perspective and wisdom of his dad. I, on the other hand, have had the opportunity to get to know my dad much better, since Mom died. I have found him to be caring and compassionate. He is a man of great gratitude for his family. I am proud and happy to call him my father.
I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers
teach us at odd moments, when they aren’t trying to teach us.
We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.

LIFE
Living on road, once a week.
Inhabiting Dad’s kitchen.
Food for two with leftovers.
Every subject chewed o’er
