Let Us Plant a Balloon Tree
Let us plant a balloon tree, in the center of our hearts.
Let us give her red, orange, pink, and yellow to warm us up.
Let us throw in purple and gold, to perk her mind in peaceful ways.
Let us surround her by green and blue, so the heart can feel new.
Go get the stuff we need. We must get busy.
Let us plant a balloon tree, to push away the depression.
Let us nurture her nightly with visions from silver angels.
Let us encourage her to trade sadness for pops of color gladness.
Let us plant a balloon tree, said the wise eight-year-old.
She will happily greet everyone at school. Let us start today!
