Let Thoughts Roam About: Forgotten
Let Thoughts Roam About: Forgotten, 2010
V. Ortiz Vazquez
Can you find what has not bee lost but just forgotten?
Strolling away by the minutes, seconds
Seconds away, yet very far
A distance that cannot be touch, only observed
Felt by the grieving
Grieve without understanding
Understand what has slipped away
Just the sense of emptiness
Reveals something is missing
Can you miss what has not been but just dreamed?
Dreams reveal the unconscious, wants, desires
Perhaps even the past
Past long gone, is it a memory or a nightmare?
Nightmare, a young girl running away from gun fire, abused
Awaken
Awaken by the alarm she dismisses it as another nightmare; dream
Dreams reveal the unconscious, wants, desires
Can you want what is forgotten but hidden within your inner most?
Open the mind, let thoughts roam about
About the past, present, future
Future marked by the present
Present affected by the past
Past hidden just residue lingers
Lingers with a threat
Threatening your upbringing, livelihood, present, future
Future with or without what has not been lost, just forgotten
