Let the Truth Catch Up To Lies
Words rich with wanting eyes
Tongue sharpened filled with lies
Capturing thoughts a wanting heart
Wealthy with smooth sweet buttered words
Capturing the soul deep within
Mingling lies with truth
Confusing an innocent heart
Close your eyes and listen
Sight will not find the heart
Nor will words spoken in vain
Actions bring the truth empty words deceive
Linger through time and the truth you will find
For speed by passes the truth
Let the truth catch up to lies
Then the eyes will see a true heart
Not one filled with lies
