Let Me Say Goodnight
Let me say goodnight to you
before you slip into my dreams;
Where my lips can dance
and my words finally sing;
Let me say ‘Dream on dreamer’
like I always do, every moment
caught in a line you can’t cross
now a wildfire burning through;
Let me say goodnight to you
when the shadows surrender to light;
Keep every moment behind my eyes
locked away as the Sun drowns the night;
Let me saying ‘Dream on dreamer’
play with a soft silky voice;
A memory you can feel in a mirror
behind the reflection of your eyes.
