Let Me Be

Let me live in my silence, undisturbed by the predicaments created by the outside world. Let me live in the inner quiet as it permeates and cleanses my soul of the heartache and sadness that erase all joy. Let the lesson of history so harsh often unlearned by humankind's need die in the rise of greed and power. Let common sense grow strong tower above the rhetoric that unfolds with learned youth and age grasping its realities ignored.
