Let Freedom Ring

Let freedom toll around the world Ring out wild bells to the wild sky A new beginning has unfurled Leaving destruction in awry Let the hungry be in years past Ring out wild bells to the wild sky Allow the starving to no longer fast Or the meager to just get by Drop in the year with no more hate Ring out wild bells to the wild sky Let freedom ring before it is too late To ever know how it feels not to cry Joyous explosions far and wide Ring out wild bells to the wild sky No longer will nations ever collide Or the innocent have to die Let freedom ring notably clear Ring out wild bells to the wild sky Avow we will never have war to fear Lives to shed because of the other guy Expose the past let it decay Ring out wild bells to the wild sky Bring in the new, meet it halfway Let freedom ring to terror defy Copyright © 2010 By Caryl S. Great wishes and wants for a new year..Reads like a winners' circle write for sure..Good luck..There was a time when people did barn raising and home raisings for neighbors..People in communties worked together..I was actually using the old red barn as a metaphor for old people..Sara
