Lessons In Words

I sit and read other's poetry, trying to find words That explain what I am feeling Needing to feel understood and validated To find lessons that I can learn To settle my restless heart, jumping as it beats Trying not to get lost in the circles of life Conversations that have no conclusions Sitting with someone, but feeling all alone My life is not another's and no-one can understand mine Articulation can be distorted, wrong assumptions made In the end, I am me...never changing in the shade Heidi Sands 9/30/33

This write is full of reflections that align with the ultimate truth that no one else can live through our lives.. No one can understand the sufferings that we go through unless he/she witnesses the same. We often try to search for validations through other's words.. But the true strength lies in the fact that we have to fight our own battles. A very thought provoking piece.. Loved reading this!
