The weaker is saved from the claws of the stronger with the help of others. Here the birds come to the rescue of the weaker.... a wonderful gesture ! Beautiful haiku, Joseph

Congratulations on your win Joseph. Sometimes I think animals try to help each other out by crying out a warning. Many times animals have shown compassion for injured animals not of their species. A great haiku. Blessings xxoo

Wonderful Haiku Joseph, lucky was the leopards prey. Some years back a Ranger was taken out on a night drive, his clothing was found two days later. Beautiful animals fierce and fast. Congratulations my friend on your win in Tania's contest. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Hi, Joseph. sorry I can't see your poems more often. Just found a bit of time for this haiku winner list. Congrats to you. I notices you used "spots" in your first line and my mind went right to the spots this animal has.

This prey, that the leopard is after, better heed those "birds" as they . . . "sound the alarm" You paint the scene so beautifully with your words. :) Brandy

J.M, I think what you're saying is that; "Not every strategy can breed success". Better luck next time, leopard! Good one!...ab
