Lenore - Who
She was gone for the week-end, three days without Her
Thinking safety in numbers, I went out with the guys
The Brightness of her Blue eyes, her Flowing blond hair
My LOVE was out of town, so I really Didn’t Care
Will She LOVE me For the Eons of FOREVER?
Or will I lose my most PRECIOUS LOVE?
Her Smile enticing, “I’ll Pay you if you buy me a Drink”
My mind was foggy, what could I do, I couldn’t even think
Do I have a Woman that I LOVE Forever? I can’t remember Her name
Lela, Lola, Lois, Lorraine, one more drink I might remember her name
Will She LOVE me For the Eons of FOREVER?
Or will I lose My Most PRECIOUS LOVE?
Did I ever really LOVE Her? A name : Lenore, would anyone ever Know?
That I would be Cheating on a Woman ,Where Forever LOVE would Grow
In the Eons of Eternity; my Bride by my side, would my cheatin’ heart glow?
Would my FOREVER and ALWAYS tell me : it is time for YOU to go
Will She LOVE me For the Eons of FOREVER?
Or will I lose My Most PRECIOUS LOVE?
Inspired by Paula Swanson, for her Contest “Cheatin”
