Leaving the Flow Constanza

I do my best to go with the flow Yet, I was never meant to be here Drinking empty words like rancid beer You sure enjoy putting on a show Sincerity important to you Faking it until it seems so true Older and wiser, there are things I know Still clinging to how I want things to be In the end it is all up to me It's hard to leave but it's time to go Deep in my heart I know you're not a friend Enough is enough I cannot pretend I did my best to go with the flow You sure enjoyed putting on a show Older and wiser there are things I know It was hard to leave but it was time to go Inspired to write this poem after reading Connie Marcum Wong's Constanza.

Richard, I am honered that you tried my poetry form. I know the syllable count of 8 and other restrictions make it a real challenge but what is important is you gave it your best. I guess we can only go with the flow for so long before it becomes too hard on our soul. It's hard to let go but it feels so good once we do, although it may take a while to recognize the benefits. Very well written.... Robert.

Wise words my friend. When we 'go with the flow' we were not meant to be part of, it will only drown us. I love the last line. It isn't always easy to decide to move on.

Ow when We are let down by someone We care for,especially a friend.When We find tha t a friend has not been true to us..That hurts...But in the end of it all,its the one who is unloyal who is at loss,and through time He/She will get to realize it..Hopefully won't be too late to change his /her way.This says so much about being true to our friends but mostly to ourselves.
