Leaving Marks
I guess I want to
Otherwise why write, talk and paint so much?
But I know any mark I leave
Will be temporary at best
And damaging at worst.
Yet still I try.
It’s the nature of being human I guess
At least this human.
And yet…
The wind blows, the sun shines, the water flows
Each leaving their own indelible mark
Of course, as is the natural way,
But without the least hint of intent.
