Leaves On the Roof

The leaves, how they cover the ground today They have gorgeous orange and brown colors Look from my window, on the roof they lay They lay lovely on the roof that pampers It surely adds a home for them to sit They gather in some places in high numbers I see leaves floating down into the pit No fire burns yet inside its cold confines Through the window a cool breeze blows a bit Trees are shedding, hope to one day refine From my open window it looks so warm I can see the brilliance something divine The leaves on the roof will never find harm The feel of this time of year is quite calm

I just really love your nature poetry, my friend. Most people think leaves, blowing this way and that, is a look of "unkempt". But for me it's all part of the season (and not just cause I'm too lazy to grab a rake... lol!). Always enjoyable work!
