"The leaves of memory seemed to make
a mournful rustling in the dark ..."
by_ Henry W. Longfellow
(The Drift of Drift-Wood)
I dream of you,
at night when wind whispers and blows;
and at dawn when the leaves stir in the dew
Oh, when you died my heart froze !
Now, I find you down a path in a place of tears,
we had promised a love that would last a thousand years.
Oh, the mournful pain- how it sears !
How will I ever forget my love's eyes of blue ?
