Lay still,
My darling,
My angel,
Stay still
And be at peace.
Stay calm,
My beauty,
My love,
And for once,
Let us lay in peace.
All is quiet
And all is calm
Under the stars
tonight.
I’ll hold you close again
one day,
so keep still.
Wake me up tomorrow,
When your loving brace remains
for only a short while.
Keep me here, with you, forever,
I wish,
Hold me close,
And lay still,
We’ll be together, again
But for now,
Be still, my- angel,
Be still
A sweet, simple silence
Welcomes us.
