Laughter
Laughter
By: Tom Wright

Oft times, from intellect,
I've considered how ironic.
That laughter,
would be the scratch for every itch.
Having therapeutic benefits,
much like a spring tonic.
Bringing certain relief,
for every aspiring writers twitch.
It frequently begins,
with just the faintest beam.
Becoming contagious,
often beyond one's control.
From a single smile,
we often burst at the seam.
Laughter, is God's balm,
for each tormented soul.
