Landscape - the Shore

Oh mighty wind you taunt, neigh awaken while you boldly ride the vibrant surf beyond massive strikes upon the shore. A breath which is sweet, so soothing after each rudimentary crash of the tide announces your arrival to the shore. I feel you consider your entrance, a calling entangled with each approaching wave as aimless clues of life beyond the shore. I dare to question the purpose, your spirit casting a heavenly sigh defined only by Love's Eye who susurrates by the shore. But duty suggests my leave, as always I reach for one last tone as we yearn and vow to meet again near the shore. ........................................................... Love the photo, too - reminds me of one of my mom's paintings that is on my wall! :-)

The sea has at least as many moods as we humans do, and each is pure, unquestioned, and absolute ... you have painted that picture so wonderfully! I loved this - thanks for sharing and congrats, Jesse!!

For sure, life is currents: Some friendly...some adverse...and some, simply some. Most important to their purpose--they keep everything moving. Excellent write!

That wayward wind plays as much a part in this poem as the shore does. Unseen yet greatly felt and a welcome delight or fear from deluge, the wind gets her due. This is wonderfully written Jesse. The only thing I would change the title. I love it! Can you tell I live where it's very windy? : ) 7

Thank you for thoughts, Connie. I thought a long time about the title and a one factor that stood out to me is the division between heaven and earth - symbolically represented here as the shore. I will think again on the title - you did bring up valid points! Thanks again - Jesse
