Lamentations

Calm of night, spoiled by cries, Screams aloud, woke me up. Death didn’t wait, came all the way, Knocked our doors, took them away. As sarin spread all around, Helpless souls gasped for air. Could see those eyes, plead for help, Turned my face, can’t see them die. As I clung to my little one, Saw him breathe his last on my lap. Wish I died that fateful day, Wish I was born in hell than here. Author : Abie Date : 13 October 2013
