Lament For Melodies Lost
I will weep the day I forget love
Mourning, calling, pleading
Why did you leave?
So sudden and cruel as it rips from my soul
The aching of heaven obsolete,
In a sea of empty truths and obligations
A sweet melody lost in foul tongues
These harsh words speak ignorant thoughts
The dove who rose to sing its heartbreak
Calling for the delicate light
While I plead for my home.
