Like Gershon I took this to an abstract level Kim. I literally pictured to eye balls i a jar, he was mean to her his whole life, so in the end, she carved out his eyes before burying him, lol, I'm an artist slash writer slash poet, can you tell,? Thank you for rousing my curiosity dear poet friend.

This works on so many different levels, Kim. You have a wonderful knack for that, esp. in your tankas.... At first I thought these to be the tears of a soldier...then I thought the tears to be hers for him... and now I keep thinking and rethinking it. This poem has the quality of marvelous abstract painting. Bravo, and a FAVE. Thank you, Gershon
