I would deplore working all my life at a job I did not at least like very much. Also I am a Labor Day baby - Sept. 5 (first Monday in the September of the year I was born in)

A labor done with all love does indeed bring a satisfied smile to the spirit taking it out of the realm of drudgery and into the realm of joy. Well spoken Andrea. Congratulations on your win.

Good one-liner. If one loves what they do, it is not work at all. If one really would like to be somewhere else, it is torture. Reads like a good contender to me. Sara

Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy.....Khalil Gibran....my thoughts exactly...i have had 3 careers...loved them all

Which is why there are few tasks Native Americans can do which do not have an accompanying song or chant to make the task more pleasant! Good luck in the contest! Aloha!

cool. I was not exactly saying what the Bible quote said, but I think some took my meaning to be only service to God, which is not what I meant.

I love the passage you quoted, and I love your monoku about work...I can imagine Beata loving this too. I'm sure your students are happy you enjoy your work. I wonder how many times your mother must have heard jokes about being in labor on Labor Day?

How difficult for humanity to offer all to God. But that's what we should do. Hugs.
