The moon pretends she is very coy I’ve seen her peeping behind the clouds when she reappears I smile with joy oh how she loves to tease the crowds I’m positive that I saw her blush during a rare total lunar eclipse She certainly wasn't in any rush I watched her via live news clips She thinks a solar eclipse is such fun her shadow over the earth is so bold and she will brazenly block out the sun until she wears her own halo of gold! There’s a total eclipse in 2024 in North America. Will we see you there? It should be awesome!!

Thanks Ilene as soon as I saw the contest details I jotted a few ideas down and I wrote the poem quite quickly, but i didn't rush to post it. I sent it to myself in an e mail (as we were taking our friend to see her hubby in hospital) and edited it whilst we were waiting and finally posted it. I'm really happy with the final poem:-) hugs Jan xx

WoW! Jan, You've penned such a well-written personification on the moon. Now I'm convinced the moon is a she. Well done. Best wishes in the contest. Have a great day:-) Alexis
