The moon pretends she is very coy
I’ve seen her peeping behind the clouds
when she reappears I smile with joy
oh how she loves to tease the crowds
I’m positive that I saw her blush
during a rare total lunar eclipse
She certainly wasn't in any rush
I watched her via live news clips
She thinks a solar eclipse is such fun
her shadow over the earth is so bold
and she will brazenly block out the sun
until she wears her own halo of gold!
