I am a fan of lust, I have been married to my wife for 21 years and lust is still a important component in my desire for her. I believe God has provided us with a multitude of emotions and it is us that have misused these gifts. Your poem is a catalyst for contemplation.

I agree with what you said Richard it is indeed up to us that's why we are all gifted with mind, heart and conscience to decide... That is one of my aim in writing this poem.. the hidden message.. and warning.

I see that you have been busy with your poetry Olive, the one that caught my attention is “ L U S T ” for it seems that you have left out the true positive nature of lust / passion in order to paint this picture of some mindless negativity. Without lust / passion you would not be writing poetry my Dear,, we would not have the fresco of old, the Sistine Chapel filled with Michelangelo’s paintings etc., etc. The lust for life is what keeps people from the arms of suicide, the lust for life and love is what makes relationships work etc., etc. I am sorry that you put such a negative spin on such a beautiful emotion .
