Knowing You
Why would I know you?
I have a thousand recollections
of a hundred acquaintances,
lovers and foes.
Yet you steal upon me
as my one and only beloved.
Could it be I have been swapping faces
in a house of mirrors,
mingling in the same Mind
thinking just I were the stranger?
Why then would I be standing here
in this wind-blown persona
at the very edge of being
looking through myself
seeing only this formless You
within this formless me?
